Clean Rospuda 2024 - ecological campaign summary

This year, we once again organized the "Clean Rospuda" campaign, during which volunteers cleaned the banks of our beloved river. We summarize this year's edition!

2024 Campaign Results

• 127 bags of rubbish collected from the banks of the Rospuda
• 156 volunteers participated in the campaign
• 12 km of river cleaned of rubbish
• 340 kg of waste removed from the area
• 3 large tires recovered from the water

The result of our work - a clean and wild Rospuda

Why do we do this?

Rospuda is one of the last wild rivers in Poland. It flows through a Natura 2000 area, and is home to hundreds of species of birds, fish, and plants. Every piece of rubbish we throw into the river or onto its bank threatens this delicate ecosystem.

How can you help?

You don't have to wait for an organized campaign to care for the cleanliness of the Rospuda:

• Take your rubbish with you - always return with a bag of rubbish from your trip
• Take other people's rubbish - if you see rubbish, take it with you
• Educate others - talk about ecology during kayaking trips
• Participate in campaigns - join us next time

• Take food in reusable containers
• Avoid single-use packaging
• Bring your own cup for coffee/tea
• Choose products without packaging
• Bring a rubbish bag and take it with you
