Holy Place on the Rospuda
Holy Place is one of the most mysterious attractions of Podlasie. Located on the banks of the Rospuda, exactly 12 km by kayak from Raczki (about 3-4h trip).
History and legend
According to legend, there was a holy well here whose water had healing properties. This place was a destination for pilgrimages by residents of nearby villages from Podlasie and Lithuania. To this day, many people come here to draw water from the spring and pray in this magical place.

Pac Palace in Dowspuda
Pac Palace is a neo-Gothic jewel of 19th-century architecture, designed by the famous architect Henryk Marconi. Former seat of the Pac family - one of the most important magnate families in Lithuania and Poland.
History of the Pac family
The Pac family came from the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and belonged to the most powerful magnate families in the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Their family motto 'Gońbąć' (Goniec) referred to the role of messenger for Duke Witold.
Architecture and park
The palace is surrounded by a beautiful English park from the 19th century, with old trees, ponds, and romantic ruins. The perfect place for a walk after a kayak trip.

Augustów Canal
Augustów Canal is a unique 19th-century engineering monument connecting the Vistula and Neman river basins. Built between 1824-1839, it had strategic military and economic importance.
Lock system
The canal is equipped with a system of 18 locks that overcome the water level difference. The largest lock in Białobrzegi overcomes a difference of as much as 9.5 meters! A fascinating work of water engineering.
